When I saw the new under age sex toys doll with no breast, the first thing I thought of was puberty. I’ve been there, my friend.
Do you know the feeling of being so tiny and helpless when the world around you is full of people whose bodies have suddenly changed and you’re still stuck in that in between period? You just don’t experience what they do and you feel so incredibly left out. Even the flat chested kids with budding breasts seem to have something you don’t: a sense of identity.
I understand why this underaged flat chested sex doll exists and trust me when I say there are many good reasons. But personally, I think dolls like this are a little too close to home for me. I looked at it and I kind of scrambled back in time to the days when I was in the shadows of all her peers, the girl who couldn’t yet relate to the newfound “developments” of puberty. It was an uncomfortable feeling to be sure, so I can totally understand why this would be similarly uncomfortable for others.
At the same time, I recognize that this particular doll is meant to be totally nonsexual and sex toys to be used in order to help young girls get comfortable with their changing bodies. It might be just the thing some girls need in order to feel safe and secure in their own skin. It gives them an opportunity to explore up close and personal the possibilities and changes their bodies are going through. It’s a teaching tool and a learning experience rolled into one big package of fabric and stuffing.
Needless to say I’ll be the first one to raise my hand and admit that when it comes to puberty, I’m still a work in progress. I remember feeling like I was on the outside looking in, but at least I had someone to ask. Admittedly, I’m jealous that there’s now access to a tool like this doll that gives you the chance to explore and familiarize yourself with the changes your body is going through in total privacy.
It’s emotional to think that something like this could help so much simply because when I was 11 or 12, I didn’t have anything like this at my disposal. In a way, it makes me feel like I was denied a chance to get to know my own body in a controlled environment before it just up and changed without me fully understanding what was happening. That said, I do think it’s great that there now is a doll like this that gives young girls the freedom to take charge of their bodies without feeling embarrassed or self conscious. That’s a really powerful experience and I’m sure there are many young women who are thankful for it.
